شوكولاتة المستقبل
قبيل انتهاء روزنامة ٣ تحتفي مدرار للفن المعاصر بفائزي الدورة السابقة. في ذلك السياق يسعدنا أن نقدم شوكولاتة المستقبل أول معرض فردي للفنانة هند سمير.
تطرح هند بصورة نقدية العادات الاستهلاكية الحديثة وعادات الأفراد ومدى تأثير الإعلانات على السلوك الاستهلاكي.
تحاكي “شوكولاتة المستقبل” التجربة البصرية والعاطفية للتسوق من خلال مجموعة من الأعمال القائمة على تسخير الفوتوغرافيا وإعلانات المجلات. توحي الألوان المبهجة في أعمالها بمشاعر الحماس وتحقيق الذات وفي كثير من الأحيان بالمواساة.
من مواليد عام ١٩٨٦ تخرجت هند سمير في كلية الفنون الجميلة فى ٢٠٠٨ بقسم الجرافيك، جامعة حلوان. تسعى هند إلي التجريب بتقنيات مختلفة في أعمالها٬ منها التصوير والطباعة و الأعمال المركبة والتجهيز.
شاركت في العديد من المعارض الجماعية في القاهرة و الإسكندرية٬ منها درب ١٨١٧ ، مدرار للفن المعاصر، مكتبة الإسكندرية، قصر الفنون، تاش آرت و غيرهم. كما عرضت أعمالها في متحف الماتريس فاكتوري في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية و شاركت في معرض سوبر ماركت في ستوكهولم في السويد.

Chocolate Bar of the Future
Roznama 3 comes to an end, yet not before we celebrate the winners of last year’s edition. Medrar for Contemporary Art is delighted to present Chocolate Bar of the Future, the first solo exhibition by artist Hend Samir.
Hend’s artwork takes a critical view of modern consumerism, individuals’ shopping habits and the role of advertising in manipulating consumer behavior.
Chocolate Bar of the Future emulates the visual and sentimental experiences of shopping, with a collection of paintings based on manipulation of photos and magazine advertisements. The vivid colours of her artwork establish a dream-like surreal quality, suggest excitement, self actualization, and quite often solace.
Born in 1986, Hend Samir graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2008, from the department of printed designs of Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt. In her artwork, Samir experiments with numerous techniques, including painting, printmaking, mixed media and installation. Her work has been exhibited in several collective exhibitions in Alexandria and in Cairo, at Darb 1718, Medrar for Contemporary Art, Tache Art and Cairo Opera House Galleries.
Her works have also been exhibited at the Mattress Factory Museum in USA and at Supermarket art Fair in Stockholm, Sweden.
