ورشة لإنتاج فنون الفيديو والأفلام التجريبية
يديرها الفنان بيتر أيرشمان والمخرج مارك لطفي
يسعدنا استكمال فعاليات الدورة السابعة من مهرجان القاهرة لفن الفيديو والأفلام التجريبية بإطلاق دعوة للتقدم بطلبات للالتحاق بورشة إنتاج أعمال فن الفيديو.
تقام الورشة في الفترة من ١٦ مارس إلى ١٦ أبريل ٢٠١٦ بمقر مدرار بالقاهرة.
تستهدف الورشة الفنانين البصريين الممارسين، ولا يشترط الخبرة أو أعمال سابقة في مجال فنون الفيديو.
سوف يتم اختيار ٥ مشاريع للإنتاج خلال الورشة، ميزانية العمل الواحد ١٠٠٠ دولار أمريكي، علي أن يتم تنفيذهم تحت إشراف مدربي الورشة.
تتضمن الورشة ١٢ محاضرة، يديرها الفنانان بيتر أيرشمان ومارك لطفي معًا. سوف يناقش خلالها المشروعات المختارة والعمل علي تطويرها وتنفيذهما، ومنها بعض الجلسات التقنية عن المونتاج والسينماتوغرافيا والرسوم المتحركة والإنتاج. تدار الجلسات باللغتي العربية والانجليزية.
نرحب بطلبات المشاركين المقيمين خارج القاهرة وتوفر مدرار إقامة مجانية لمتشارك واحد من خارج القاهرة خلال مدة الورشة.
عن المدربين:
بيتر أيرشمان، سويسرا
فنان فيديو يعيش ويعمل بمدينة بيرن السويسرية. وهو أحد مؤسسي مركز بروجر الثقافي بها. درس الفنون وعلوم الكمبيوتر بجامعة بازل وعرض أعمال فيديو وتجهيزات في الفراغ بمهرجنات دولية ومتاحف عديدة.
مارك لطفي، مصر
مخرج ومنتج أفلام وباحث من الاسكندرية. أسس ويدير ستوديو فيج ليف بالاسكندرية منذ عام ٢٠٠٥، الذي أنتج عدة أفلام روائية وقصيرة ووثائقية وأعمال فن فيديو. أخرج ٥ أفلام وساهم في إنتاج ١٤ عملًا. يعمل مارك على دعم السينما المستقلة والحركة الفنية بالاسكندرية.

شروط الاشتراك:
- الالتزام بحضور جميع جلسات الورشة: أيام السبت والاثنين والأربعاء، من الساعة ٦ إلى ٩ مساءً.
- أن يكون لدى المتشارك لاب توب شخصي لاستخدامه خلال الورشة، كما يفضل أن يكون لديه كاميرا DSLR
- تسديد رسوم الورشة: ٢٠٠ جنيه مصري لضمان الجدية، تسدد بعد إخطار المشاركين الذين تم اختيارهم.
للتقدم بطلب المشاركة، يرجى ملئ استمارة الاشتراك أدناه وإرسالها قبل ١٠ مارس ٢٠١٦، ويتم إخطار المشاركين الذين تم اختيارهم فقط في موعد أقصاه ١٤ مارس ٢٠١٦.

The Mesh
Video Art and Experimental Film Production workshop
Led by artists Peter Aerschmann & Mark Lotfy
We are thrilled to resume the activities of Cairo Video Festival 7 by announcing a call for applications for a production workshop for video art and experimental films.
The workshop will take place from 16 March until 16 April at Medrar.
The workshop targets visual artists; and prior experience in video art making and previous works are not a prerequisite.
Five projects will be selected to be produced during the workshop, with up to 1,000USD as production budget per piece, to be produced under the supervision of both trainers.
The workshop includes 12 sessions, jointly led by Peter Aerschmann and Mark Lotfy, during which concepts will be discussed, developed and produced. And some of which will be technical on editing, cinematography, animation and production.
We encourage applicants from outside Cairo to apply; Medrar is able to provide accommodation for one participant from outside Cairo during the month of the workshop.
About the Trainers:
Peter Aerschmann, Switzerland
Video artist living and working in Bern. Co-founder and managed of Progr Cultural institute in Bern. He studied arts and computer sciences in University of Basel. His Video works and installations have been exhibited in numerous international festivals and museums.
Mark Lotfy, Egypt
Filmmaker, producer and researcher from Alexandria. Founder and director of Figleaf Studio in Alexandria, which has produced numerous fiction, short films, documentaries and video art. Mark has directed 5 films and helped produce 14 films. He seeks to support the independent cinema and the art movement in Alexandria.
Terms & Conditions:
Participant must commit to attending all the sessions on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays, from 6pm until 9pm.
Participant must bring a laptop during the sessions. It is preferable to have a DSLR camera too.
Pay workshop fees: 200LE
To apply, please fill in the form below and submit it before 10 March 2016. Only selected applicants will be notified by 14 March 2016.
