يسر مدرار للفن المعاصر أن يقدم برنامج تدريب جديد يوفر للطلاب والخريجين الجدد الفرصة للتعلم والمساهمة في مختلف مجالات الاهتمام مثل الأرشفة، تنظيم ورش العمل والمعارض العامة والعروض. سوف يتعامل المتدربون مع الجوانب الإدارية والإبداعية والتنظيمية والتعاونية المتعلقة بطبيعة العمل في مؤسسة مدرار. سوف يكتسبون فهمًا لكيفية عمل وتنظيم المشاريع المؤسسية الإبداعية و يتمكنوا من تحديد الرؤى التعليمية والثقافية للفن المعاصر في مصر. يوفر برنامج التدريب 3 فرص مختلفة:

  • تدريب معمل الميديا —- التركيز على إدارة المعدات الفنية والجرد 
  • تدريب التسويق ووسائل التواصل الاجتماعي — التركيز على الكتابة والتوثيق
  • تدريب تخيل الموارد —— التركيز على الأرشيف

 

 1)  تدريب معمل الميديا 

 إدارة المعدات الفنية والجرد 

سوف يقوم المتدربون بالعمل بشكل مباشر مع المنسق التقني لمعمل الميديا ويساعدوا في متابعة فرز وحركة الأجهزة والمعدات، الأنشطة المتعلقة بالمعمل، ويساهموا أيضاً في التجهيزات التقنية للمعارض القادمة. يعملوا المتدربين على تنظيم وجمع بيانات على مكونات الأجهزة وحالتها كما يقومون بجردها بشكل دوري. سيكتشفون المتدربين طرق متعددة لتنفيذ أنماط مختلفة من المعارض التي تتطلب مجموعة مهارات متنوعة، وسيتم تشجيعهم على الإبداع من خلال طرح إستراتيجيات جديدة و مبتكرة في تجهيز العروض والأعمال الفنية. سوف يكتشف المتدربون ويعملون مع نطاق واسع وغني من المعدات. سوف يتعلمون الاستخدامات المختلفة ، والإعدادات، والإمكانيات التي تقدمها تلك المعدات بالإضافة إلى التحديات المختلفة التي يمكن أن يتسببوا فيها. سيكتسب المتدربون خبرة تقنية عملية يمكن أن تفيدهم لاحقًا في مجموعة متنوعة من السياقات المهنية والغير الرسمية. سيعملون مع الشاشات والمحولات الأنالوج والرقمية والبرامج مفتوحة المصدر(Arduinos) كاميرات الفيديو والكاميرات عالية الدقة ومعدات الواقع الافتراضي و والمزيد! إذا كنت حريصًا على الغرق في بحر من الكابلات والأدوات وأجهزة الكمبيوتر لكي تكتشف طرقًا مختلفة لإدارة هذه الأصول واستخدامها، فهذي الفرصة من أجلك!

المتطلبات:

  • قدرة كبيرة على التعلم، خاصة في حالة التعامل مع أجهزة و برامج غير مألوفة
  • قدرة على تنظيم مختلف الموجودات (رقمية و ملموسة)
  • على دراية بالمشهد الرقمي من التكنولوجيا المستخدمة والشائعة
  • معرفة جيدة بأدوات جوجل المكتبية المختلفة (Sheets, Docs, Forms …)
  • يحب العمل مع الآلات (لكن يفضل العمل مع البشر أكثر من ذلك بكثير!)

 المسئوليات:

  • متابعة وتجهيز المعدات المطلوبة لكل من أنشطة ومعارض مدرار (أجهزة الواقع الإفتراضي، كاميرات، أنظمة الصوت، عارض ضوئي،  ملحقات ديچيترونيكية، عرض مختلف الوسائط).
  • التعرف على كيفية عمل الأجهزة و البرامج المشتراة حديثاً (أجهزة إرسال HDMI لاسلكي، عارضات ضوئية ليزر، كروت صوت، سماعات 5.1، نظارة واقع إفتراضي htc vive cosmos, آلة رسم و قطع …).
  • إدارة تخزين المعدات: حصر الأجهزة الموجودة و مواصفاتها و مستلزماتها.
  • جمع بيانات و تقارير عن الأجهزة المؤجرة، و الأكثر\أقل استخداماً.

فترة التدريب: شهر مدفوع الأجر (قابل للتمديد) بداية من العام القادم

Medrar for Contemporary Art is very happy to introduce its internship program which offers students and fresh graduates  the opportunity to learn and contribute to various areas of interest such as archiving professional work, organizing public workshops, curating public exhibitions, organizing public screenings and more. Interns will engage with the administrative, creative, curatorial and  collaborative aspects of the work at Medrar for Contemporary Art.  They will gain an understanding of how creative institutional projects  work and function and identify the educational and cultural visions of contemporary art in  Egypt. The Internship program will offer 3 different opportunities:

  • The Media Lab Internship —- Focus: Technical Equipment Management & Inventory Handling
  • Marketing and social media Internship — Focus: Writing and Audio Visual Documentation
  • Imaging Resources Internship—— Focus: Archive

Today, we announce our open call for the first internship opportunity: The Media Lab Internship.

1)The Media Lab Internship —- Focus: Technical Equipment Management & Inventory Handling

The Media Lab intern will work closely with the Technical Director of the multi-media lab and support in maintaining equipment and related technical activities, as well as the implementation phases of upcoming exhibitions technical setups. Interns will also work on organising & collecting data about the device components, equipment state & usage frequency in the inventory.They will learn to efficiently and effectively organize different formats of exhibitions that require a diverse set of skills and they will be encouraged to innovate by proposing novel or creative strategies in setting up the screenings and artworks. Interns will discover and work with a very wide and rich scope of equipment. They will learn their different usages, setups, the possibilities they offer as well as the different challenges they can cause. Interns will gain hands-on technical experience that could benefit them later on in a variety of professional and casual contexts. They will work with screens, analogue and digital converters, open source softwares (Arduinos), 360 and 180 cameras and much more! If you are eager to drown in a sea of cables, gadgets and computers and figure out different ways to manage and utilize these assets, this is for you!

Requirements: 

  • Huge learning capacity, specially when facing new equipment & softwares
  • Can organize different types of assets (digital & physical )
  • Acquainted with the digital scene of used & trending technologies
  • Decent knowledge of Google Workspace tools (sheets, docs, forms, …) 
  • Loves to work with machines (but loves working with Humans much more!)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain & Setup the equipment needed for each of Medrar’s current activities & exhibitions (VR headsets, Cameras, Sound Systems, Projection, Screencasting, Attached Digitronic Devices, Media Streaming…).
  • Getting familiar with newly purchased equipment & installed softwares. (Ex: wireless HDMI transmitters, laser projectors, sound cards, 5.1 speakers, htc vive cosmos headset, cutting plotter …)
  • Storage Management: inventory count & stocktaking of available equipment, devices, and accessories.
  • Data tracking & reporting for rented equipment, most used/unused devices.

 

Period of internship: 1 month paid (extendable) starting early next year
