عودة نادي القتال – ورشة تديرها الفنانة أية طارق

السباق شكل من أشكال الانتحار الاستعراضي، الانتحار كوسيلة للإعلان: أن تجري لاستعراض قدرتك على استنفاد آخر قطرة من الطاقة لديك، لإثبات ذلك … إثبات ماذا؟ أنك قادر على الوصول إلى النهاية. تحمل رسوم الجرافيتي الرسالة ذاتها. فهي تقول ببساطة: أنا كذا وكذا، وأنا موجود! هي دعاية مجانية للوجود.
هل علينا أن نثبت لأنفسنا على الدوام أننا موجودون؟ هي علامة غريبة على الضعف، ونذير عصبية جديدة لأداء مجهول الهوية، لا حدود لبداهته.“

تهدف الورشة إلى تحفيز الجانب الإبداعي من خلال ألعاب ذهنية وتكتيكات، والتغلب على مصاعب العمل الجماعي، وتحدي العقل المتمحور حول ذاته، وكشف جانب المغامرة في المنهج الإبداعي، لتكون ورشة تجريبية بالكامل لا ننتظر منها أي أشكال أو نتائج محددة (كما هي الحياة).
وتحاول الورشة إعادة تعريف/كسر وتفنيد المبادئ والتعريفات الكلاسيكية/الأكاديمية للفن والجمال والقيم الجمالية والمنهج، كما تسعى إلى استكشاف ما هو أبعد من ذلك من خلال تدريبات مكثفة وقراءات ونظم قائمة على علم النفس العكسي.
تُقام الورشة في مدرار من الأحد ١٧ أبريل ٢٠١٦ إلى الأحد ٨ مايو ٢٠١٦
٧ محاضرات .. الأحد و الخميس من كل أسبوع من الساعة ٥ مساءً إلى الساعة ٩ مساءً.
يليها معرض ثلاث أيام لنتاج الورشة.

البرنامج
– حديث فني أسبوعي مع فنانين وموسيقيين مختلفين يناقشون عملهم ومسارهم الإبداعي، بالإضافة إلى عرض أفلام/مقاطع فيديو ونقاشات (أول يوم من كل أسبوع، على أن تعلن أسماء الفنانين والأفلام كل أسبوع).
– سيناريوهات نظرية وتكتيكات وألعاب (اليوم الثاني من كل أسبوع)
رسوم الورشة : ٥٠٠ جنية .. تسدد في مقر مدرار قبل بدء الورشة.
للتقدم بطلب المشاركة، يرجى ملئ استمارة الاشتراك أدناه وإرسالها قبل الخميس ١٤ أبريل ٢٠١٦ .. ويتم إخطار المشاركين الذين تم اختيارهم فقط في موعد أقصاه السبت ١٦ أبريل ٢٠١٦.

نبذة عن المدربة
آية طارق من مواليد عام ١٩٨٩، وتعمل كمصورة وفنانة شارع ورسامة. تستكشف آية في أعمالها التقاطعات المختلفة بين أشكال الإتصال الحضرية وديناميكية الفضاء العام. تستخدم عناصر نابضة بالحياة وقيم جمالية هزلية، وكثيرًا ما تعمل على جداريات في مواقع محددة، وذلك سعيًا منها لخلق جدل فكاهي، وتقصي شتى الأفكار المرتبطة بالسياقات العامة المختلفة.
شاركت آية في العديد من المعارض والأحداث الفنية منها العرض الأول للجدارية الجديدة ب USF بمتحف الفن المعاصر بفلوريدا بالولايات المتحدة (٢٠١٥)، وبينالي الفنون الحضرية بموقع التراث الثقافي العالمي/ فولكينجر بألمانيا (٢٠١٥)، ومشروع جربة هوود بجاليري أيتينرانس (٢٠١٤)، وفاجبوندس كونجرس بمسرح RMPH (٢٠١٤)، وسيتي ليكس بكولونيا (٢٠١٣)، والحائط الأبيض بمركز بيروت للفن (٢٠١٢)، والجرافيتي العربي وفن الشارع المصري في فرانكفورت بشوارع فرانكفورت (٢٠١٢).

You don’t talk about Fight club – workshop led by artist Aya Tarek
“[The] … sense of futility that comes from doing anything merely to prove to yourself that you can do it: having a child, climbing a mountain, making some sexual conquest, committing suicide.
The marathon is a form of demonstrative suicide, suicide as advertising: it is running to show you are capable of getting every last drop of energy out of yourself, to prove it… to prove what? That you are capable of finishing. Graffiti carry the same message. They simply say: I’m so-and-so and I exist! They are free publicity for existence.
Do we continually have to prove to ourselves that we exist? A strange sign of weakness, harbinger of a new fanaticism for a faceless performance, endlessly self-evident.”

Aiming at radically stimulating one’s creative side through mental games and tactics, overcoming the difficulties of working as a collective, challenging the egocentric mind, and unveiling the adventurous side of the creative approach, this workshop is fully experiential and we are not expecting any definitive forms or results (just like life).
The workshop is an attempt at redefining/breaking and reshuffling the classic/academic norms and definitions of art, beauty, aesthetics, and approach, and discovering what’s beyond through intensive exercises, readings and reversed psychology based schemes.
The workshop will take place at Medrar from Sunday 17 April 2016 till Sunday 8 May 2016.
7 sessions .. Sunday and Thursday every week from 5 pm to 9 pm.
After the workshop, it will be an exhibition for 3 days.
Program outline
– Weekly artist talks with different artists and musicians discussing their practice and creative process, in addition to movies/videos screenings and discussions (1st day of each week, the names of the artists and the movie titles will be announced every week).
– Theoretical scenarios, tactics and games (2nd day of each week)
Workshop fees : 500 LE, You have to pay them to Medrar before the workshop.

About the mentor
Aya Tarek (born 1989) is a painter, street artist and illustrator. Her work explores the different interchanges within modes of urban communication and the dynamic of a public space. Using a vibrant and comic derived aesthetic, and often working through site specific murals, she aims to trigger a humorous sense of controversy, investigating different ideas pertaining to the different public contexts.
Tarek has participated in various exhibitions and events including World Premier Of A New Mural By Aya Tarek, USF Contemporary Art Museum/Florida, USA (2015), Urban Art Biennale, Weltkulturerbe Völklinger Hütte/Voelklinger, Germany (2015), Djerbahood, Itinerrance Gallery(2014), Vagabonds Congress, Theatre RMPH (2014), CityLeaks, Cologne (2013), White Wall, Beirut Art Centre (2012), and Arabic Graffiti & Egyptian Street Art in Frankfurt, Streets of Frankfurt (2012).
